The bigger the beast the slower they move. Coming next week! Youtube is getting a facelift. Not that a web-Giant like youtube needs to improve it's appearance to keep growing! It's hard to believe that youtube is only 6 years old. Remember Ronaldo's Golden shoe video? That was the first video to get 1,000,000 views! Who knew that so much media would be pumped through this site!?
Youtube.com now gets 3 Billion views per day! 400 million Mobile views per day (which has doubled this year alone)
Along with a more modern interface, there is also improvements to analytics and advertising. Now that youtube and google are connected, it only makes sense to combine the two and create more than just hit counts. Hopefully the sleeker layout isn't purposed for future clutter as every little sliver of screen real estate gets sold out to Google ads.
